About Dunn

A marketing business graduate from San Diego State University, he has enjoyed a colorful career.  He worked as a marketing research analyst for San Diego Gas & Electric, Anheuser-Busch and Foodmaker (Jack in the Box).  His introduction to gaming entertainment started when he became the Marketing Director for Gremlin (the makers of Frogger and Turbo).  In addition to marketing the games, he worked on obtaining entertainment licenses and on game design.

In 1987 he joined the Las Vegas Hilton, then the largest hotel in the world, as the Director of Marketing.  He then became the Slot Director for the Flamingo Reno before moving to Laughlin to open the Flamingo Laughlin as the Vice President of Marketing.  In Laughlin, he also ran the entertainment department and was responsible for creating the first outdoor amphitheater to the market.

When Hilton purchased the largest hotel/casino in Reno, Brooke was brought in to run the Marketing and Entertainment for the Reno Hilton.  He was then promoted to Vice President of Marketing for Hilton Gaming and worked on the marketing and business plans for Hilton properties throughout the world.

Dunn then joined Shuffle Master.  During his 15 years at Shuffle Master, the company grew from a simple supplier of three different products with under $10 million of revenue to over $200 million with a diversified product line.

Dunn was selected to be an officer of the newly created Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM).  He was later elected President and served two terms for AGEM.

Dunn brings his insight to Casino Talk and offers a great forum for listeners to hear from and question experts in the industry.
